Campaign Monitor for Zoho CRM
Campaign Monitor is an email marketing software that is equipped with automation tools to build emails and run campaigns. With the Campaign Monitor extension for Zoho CRM, you can synchronize all your campaigns from your Campaign Monitor account to Zoho CRM. You can access synchronized campaigns from the Campaigns module and contact details from the Contacts and Leads modules in Zoho CRM.
Installing the extension
You can install the Campaign Monitor extension either from Zoho Marketplace or from within your Zoho CRM account as follows:
Go to Setup > Marketplace > All. All your installed extensions will be listed.
Click All Extensions to view extensions supported by your CRM edition.
Under All Extensions, browse for and click Campaign Monitor.
The details about the extension will be displayed.
Click Install.
Agree to the terms of service and click Install.
Choose one of the following, then click Confirm:
Install for admins only: The extension will only be installed in CRM for users with an administrator profile.
Install for all users: The extension will be installed in CRM for all users.
Choose profiles: The extension will be installed in CRM for manually selected users. Choose this option, click Confirm, then select the desired profiles.
The extension will be installed automatically for your specified users.
In the pop-up, click Authorize.
If you skip this step, you can authorize later from your Setup page in Zoho CRM. To do so, go to Setup > Marketplace > All. Find the Campaign Monitor extension and click Configure.
Sign in with your Campaign Monitor credentials.
Click Allow Access.
Setting up synchronization
Once the extension is installed and configured, a Campaign Monitor web tab will be created in your Zoho CRM. You can establish sync settings within this tab. Based on your settings, synchronization will occur in real time. Your settings can be modified at any time.
To set up synchronization
- Go to the Campaign Monitor web tab.
The Setup page will open. - In Sync Type, choose One Way or Both Ways.
- If One Way is chosen, Sync Behaviour will be shown.
- If Both Ways is chosen, Conflict Behaviour and Choose Template Option will be shown.
- In Sync Behaviour, choose Zoho CRM to Campaign Monitor or Campaign Monitor to Zoho CRM.
- If Zoho CRM to Campaign Monitor is chosen, Choose Template Option will be shown.
- If Campaign Monitor to Zoho CRM is chosen, Conflict Behaviour will be shown.
- In Conflict Behaviour, choose CRM always wins or Campaign Monitor always wins.
- In Scheduled Sync, choose Yes or No.
- In Sync Frequency, choose Daily or Weekly.
- In CRM Module, choose Contacts or Leads.
- Click Sync.
After synchronization, all the synced details will be displayed on your dashboard.
Note: Only custom imported templates that are created in Campaign Monitor using the Upload your own HTML option are supported by this extension. In order to synchronize records from Zoho CRM to Campaign Monitor, a custom imported template should be validated while setting up the extension.
Viewing campaigns in Zoho CRM
In the Campaign Monitor dashboard, the campaigns from your Campaign Monitor account will be displayed under All Campaigns.
Under All Campaigns, click on a record to view its campaign details.
Select a campaign and click Update to sync the campaign manually.
The contacts from Campaign Monitor will be added as separate records in the Contacts or Leads module, based on your sync settings.
The sync settings can be altered anytime from the Settings page.
Uninstalling the extension
To uninstall the extension:
Go to Setup > Marketplace > All. All your installed extensions will be listed. Under All Extensions, you can view all the extensions supported in your CRM.
Browse for Campaign Monitor and click the corresponding Uninstall link.
Click Ok to confirm and uninstall the extension.
