Unable to deactivate user in Backstage

Unable to deactivate user in Backstage

Description

You may encounter this error when you are trying to deactivate a user.

Reason

This error occurs because the user you are trying to deactivate has been removed as the owner of Backstage, but the ownership is yet to be transferred to the new owner.

Solution

When the ownership of Backstage is changed in Zoho One, an invitation email will be sent to the new owner to take ownership of the app. Inform the new owner to accept the invite. They will be redirected to the Backstage app.

Alternatively, you can inform the user to sign in to Backstage, then click Teams in the top-menu to take the ownership. They will be displayed as the Portal Owner under Teams.

Once the ownership change is done, the user (you are trying to deactivate) will be unassigned from Backstage. You will now be able to deactivate that user.
