My storage is full, what can I do about it?
As the storage is shared between Mailbox, Archive and Backup, you could cleanup emails from either the mailbox or the archive or backup. If all these emails are important to be retained, ask your administrator to add more storage to the account by purchasing add-on storage.
When the storage is full, the administrator might want to clear some of the archived emails. In order to free up some storage space, one can choose ‘Export and Delete’ option under Investigations > Search or Holds.
Export & Delete will permanently and irrevocably remove the data from eDiscovery portal. This action will delete even mails which are on hold or whose retention period is not yet expired, hence this option needs to be used with caution. However, we strongly recommend maintaining proper retention rules, that suite the long term needs of your organization, as new mails keep on flowing into the archive.
