Lock device/sound alarm

Lock device/sound alarm

When a device is misplaced or lost, you can lock the device remotely from the Directory, or sound an alarm in the device to locate it.
You can find which devices you can perform these actions for in the Device-security actions page.

Lock device

Once you lock the device, the user has to enter a passcode to unlock the device if it has been set previously.
In devices running iOS 7.0 or higher versions, you have the option of displaying a message and contact number on the lock screen.

To lock the device:
  1. Sign in to Zoho One , then click Directory in the left menu.
  2. Go to Device Management, then go to the Devices tab.
  3. Click on the required device.
  4. Click Remote Lock.
  5. For devices running iOS versions 7.0 or later, enter the contact number and message to be displayed on the lock screen.
  6. Click Lock.

In iOS devices, you need to enable Lost mode to sound a remote alarm.

  2. Go to Device Management, then go to the Devices tab.
