Working with the ASAP Extension for Google Chrome

Working with the ASAP Extension for Google Chrome

Introduction

The ASAP extension for Google Chrome is a nifty tool that helps you bridge your website with your knowledge base for the benefit of your customers/site visitors. This extension enables you to easily configure tooltips that display relevant help articles when customers hover over your website content. For instance, if you run an e-commerce business and you offer refunds for certain products, you can mention the refund option in the product detail page and display a tooltip that links to a help article on how to initiate a refund.

Each tooltip contains a brief gist of the help article and a View More link, which when clicked opens the complete article in the ASAP window on the webpage. You can display as many tooltips as you want on a webpage to ensure that relevant help articles are easily accessible for site visitors.

Additionally, you can provide a quick walk-through of your site/product to site visitors, using tooltips. All that you need to do is just create a guide by sequentially arranging the tooltips configured.

The extension works in tandem with the ASAP add-on for websites. Therefore, to be able to use the extension, you must first make sure that the add-on is enabled on your website.
