Workday for Zoho Directory
- Sign in to the Zoho One Admin Panel.
- Go to Marketplace, then use the search bar to find and install Workday.
- Name your app and enter your Domain Name and Tenant Name.
Note: Domain Name and Tenant Name are the first and second parts of your Workday URL. If your URL is " zylker.workday.com/production_tenant/ ", your Domain Name will be "zylker" and your Tenant Name will be "production_tenant".
- If you want to test the SAML configuration before allowing users to access Workday, uncheck Display app to users.
- Click Add.
- Click Manage Application, then Single Sign-On.
- Click Service Provider Details to check and verify the SP details. You can also edit them, if needed.
- Click Identity Provider Details, then copy the Issuer, the Sign-in URL, and the X.509 Certificate.
- Sign in to your Workday account.
- Search for "Edit Tenant Setup" in the home screen search box, then click Edit Tenant Setup - Security from the search results.
- Click Single Sign-on, then check Enable SAML Authentication.
- Click the plus icon under SAML Identity Providers.
- Enter "Zoho One" in the Identity Provider Name field and the IdP Issuer in the Issuer field.
- Under x509 Certificate, click the icon and then click Create x509 Public Key.
- Enter "Zoho One" in the Name field and the IdP X.509 Certificate in the Certificate field, then click OK.
- Enter the IdP Sign-in URL in the IdP SSO Service URL field.
- Click OK.
Test the SAML connection
- Return to the Zoho One Admin Panel.
- Go to Applications, then click Workday.
- Click Assign Users, choose yourself from the list, then click Assign.
- Click . If everything is working, you should be automatically signed in and taken to Workday's homepage.
Enforce SAML SSO
After successfully testing SSO, you can enforce it for all users. Once this is done, your users will no longer be able to sign in using their Workday credentials. To restrict users to SSO:
- Sign in to your Workday account.
- Search for "Edit Tenant Setup" in the home screen search box, then click Edit Tenant Setup - Security from the search results.
- Click Single Sign-on, check Always Require IdP Authentication, then choose ForceAuthn Only.
- Click OK.
Make app visible to all users
After successfully testing the SSO, you can make Workday available for all users to access from their My Apps pages.
To make Workday visible to all users:
- Sign in to the Zoho One Admin Panel.
- Go to Applications, then click Workday.
- Click Edit, check Display app to users, then click Update.
- You can now access Workday from Zoho One's My Apps page.
