Configure SAML in Zoho One/Directory

  1. Sign in to Zoho One/Directory, then click Admin Panel in the left menu.
  2. In Zoho One, go to Marketplace, then click Browse Applications. In Zoho Directory, go to Applications, then click Add Application.
  3. Use the search bar to find and add Velpic.

  4. Enter the following details:
    1. Display Name
    2. Account ID
    3. Subdomain
    Note :
    • You can find the Account ID in Velpic when configuring SAML.
    • Subdomain is a part of your Velpic account URL. If your Velpic account URL is zylker.velpic.net , then the subdomain is zylker.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Click Single Sign-On.
  7. Click Service Provider Details to check and verify the SP details. You can also edit them, if needed.
  8. Click Identity Provider Details, then copy the Issuer URL and download the IDP Metadata.

Configure SAML in Velpic

  1. Sign in to your Velpic account as an administrator, then click Admin.
  2. Click Integration in the left menu, then click Plugins.
  3. Click Add Plugin, then click SAML 2.0.
  4. Enter a name for the new plugin, then click Add.
  5. Paste the URL copied from Zoho One/Directory in the Issuer URL field.
  6. Upload the IDP metadata file downloaded from Zoho One/Directory in the Provider Metadata Config field.
    Note: You can copy the Single sign on URL here, if needed. The part of the URL between v2/ and /login is your Account ID.
  7. Click Save.

Just-in-time provisioning

Just-in-time (JIT) provisioning creates a Velpic account for users during their first SSO attempt. This means you don't have to do so manually for each user.

Follow the steps to enable JIT provisioning in Velpic:
  1. Sign in to your Velpic account, then click Admin.
  2. Click Integration in the left menu, then click Plugins.
  3. Click on the SAML plugin added for Zoho One/Directory, then click Edit.
  4. Enable Auto create new users, then click Save.

Test the SAML connection

  1. Return to the Admin Panel in Zoho One/Directory.
  2. Go to Applications, then click Velpic.
  3. Click Assign Users, choose yourself from the list, then click Assign.
  4. Click   . If everything is working, you should be automatically signed in and taken to Velpic's homepage.

  5. After successfully testing the connection, you can start assigning the app and make it available for all users in their My Apps page.
