On a typical day, a salesperson will make a lot of calls to prospective customers, trying to sell them products. They also receive support calls from their customers.
A salesperson who hasn't integrated their phone with Bigin will have to call each prospective customer manually and then switch to Bigin to get the necessary information about them. Then, once the call is over, they will have to manually update their details in Bigin.
What if we could bring the phone functionality into Bigin?
The salesperson can make a call from Bigin, with all the prospect's details right in front of them, and have the call log added to the record automatically. Bigin offers two options:
- Set up Zoho's built-in PhoneBridge
- Integrate with a PBX service from Marketplace
Bigin's built-in telephony feature is available in the following countries:
Set up Zoho's built-in PhoneBridge
- Go to Settings > Phone and click Setup Now.
- In the Buy a Number pop-up,:
- Select the Country from the drop-down list.
- Select the Number Type.
- Choose a number from the options available.
- Click Buy.
Choose the Payment Duration.
You can choose either Yearly or Monthly.
- Enter the price and click Continue.
- Enter the Billing Details and click Proceed to Pay.
Note
- Voice data is transmitted over the internet via WebRTC. Check that your browser is supported.
Integrate with a telephony service from the Phonebridge Marketplace
If you don't want to use our built-in telephony feature, you can integrate Bigin with a PBX vendor of your choice from the Phonebridge marketplace.
To install from a PBX marketplace
- Navigate to Settings > Channels > Phone.
- Click View Marketplace in the Telephony page.
- Click Integrate for your telephony provider.
