Prerequisites

  1. An Enterprise or Premier account with Smartsheet

Configure SAML in Zoho One

  1. Sign in to the Zoho One Admin Panel.
  2. Go to Marketplace, then use the search bar to find and install Smartsheet.

  3. If you want to test the SAML configuration before allowing users to access Smartsheet, uncheck Display app to users.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Click Manage Application, then Single Sign-On.
  6. Click Service Provider Details to check and verify the SP details. You can also edit them, if needed.
  7. Click Identity Provider Details, then download the IDP Metadata.

Configure SAML in Smartsheet

  1. Sign in to your Smartsheet account.
  2. Click your profile picture, click Account Admin, then click Security Controls.
  3. Click Edit under Authentication, then click not configured next to SAML.
  4. Click Add IdP, then enter "Zoho One" under the IdP Nickname field.
  5. Open the IdP Metadata file in a text editor, copy its content, then paste it in the IdP Metadata field.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click Activate under IdP Status.
  8. Go back to the Authentication form, then check SAML.
  9. Click Save.

Test the SAML connection

  1. Return to the Zoho One Admin Panel.
  2. Go to Applications, then click Smartsheet.
  3. Click Assign Users, choose yourself from the list, then click Assign.
  4. Click . If everything is working, you should be automatically signed in and taken to Smartsheet's homepage.

Make app visible to all users

After successfully testing the SSO, you can make Smartsheet available for all users to access from their My Apps pages.
To make Smartsheet visible to all users:
  1. Sign in to the Zoho One Admin Panel.
  2. Go to Applications, then click Smartsheet.
  3. Click Edit, check Display app to users, then click Update.

  4. You can now access Smartsheet from Zoho One's My Apps page.
