RSS Feeds

RSS Feeds is a one-stop solution if you consume new content and updates from specific websites that you follow. With the RSS Feeds Dashboard on Zoho Social, you can curate a stream of new content which you like to read delivered straight to you, and publish them seamlessly to your social media channels, all from one screen.
 
Let's look at how to create a new RSS feed on Zoho Social.
1. Click on the Posts tab on your dashboard.
2. Now, click on  RSS Feeds under Content Library.



3. Click on the +New Feed button on the top right corner to set up a new feed.



4. Type in the name of the Website or Paste the feed link in the search bar. You can also upload a .OPML/.XML file to get started and hit the Add button to add that source as  a new feed.


You can add upto 10 Feeds if you're on our Professional Plan, and upto a maximum of 20 feeds if you are on a Premium, Agency, or an Agency Plus Plan.
You can also mark articles as 'read' using the Mark as Read feature to clear all content, so the next time you visit the RSS tab, you will be notified with a new set of content that the website updates with. To do so,
 
1. Hover on the article you want to mark as read and click on the checkbox on the top left corner.
2. Now select the articles you wish to mark as read and click on the double-tick favicon on the top.


How to customize your Feed content using the 'Edit preference' option

On each individual feed, you can set up a desired text prefixing the post URL and a suffix (hashtags, for instance) which is auto-populated when you try publishing/scheduling any content from that feed. For example: Adding the text "Check out our new blog." prefixing any post that goes our from your website feed.
 
To customize your Feed content,
1. Hover over the feed name you have added to edit your preference and click on the gear icon (Feed Preferences).
2. Choose your channel preference by simply selecting or deselecting your chosen social channels and giving in the prefix text you want to include in your posts.
3. Finally, fill in the suffix with the hashtags or other content of your choice to complete your post.


Creating a new post from RSS Feeds 

To create a new post from RSS Feeds
1. Hover over the desired article under the Feed you want to create a new post from.
2. Click on the pencil icon- to create a new post.
3. In the publishing window, type the content for your Post and choose to publish instantly or later with the publishing options available.
4. Finally, hit the Post Now button if you wish to post instantly or the Schedule button to schedule your post for a later date.

Editing the title of a Feed 

To change the title of a Feed,
1. Hover over the Feed name and click on the small pencil icon to Edit Title.




2. Give in a suitable title of your choice and hit the Tick icon.


Removing a feed

1. To delete a feed, hover over the feed and click the bin icon-Remove.
2. Now, hit the Delete button to remove the feed from the Your Feeds column.


 
You can also perform multiple actions like moving a Post you create from RSS Feeds to your Drafts, Hide, and Discuss it with your teammates.
1. To move the Post to the Drafts section, hover over the article and click on the Move to Drafts icon.
2. To hide an article of your choice, hover over the article and click on the Hide icon.
3. To collaborate with your team, start a discussion, hover over the article and click on the Discussion icon.
