ParkMyCloud for Zoho Directory

ParkMyCloud for Zoho Directory

Prerequisites

  1. Available only in paid plans

Configure SAML in Zoho One/Directory

If you're a Zoho One user:

  1. Sign in to Zoho One, then click Directory in the left menu.
  2. Go to Marketplace, then click Browse Applications.
  3. Use the search bar to find and install ParkMyCloud.

If you're a Zoho Directory user:

  1. Sign in to Zoho Directory, then click Admin Panel in the left menu.
  2. Go to Applications, then click Add Application.
  3. Use the search bar to find and add ParkMyCloud.
  4. Name your app and enter the Unique ID.
Note: Unique ID refers to the last portion of the SP ACS URL. The steps to obtain the SP ACS URL are given in the next section. If the SP ACS URL is "console.parkmycloud.com/saml/sso/123df45ac", then the Unique ID is "123df45ac". To customize the URL, you can change this unique ID by signing in to your ParkMyCloud account as an admin.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Click the Single Sign-On tab.
  7. Click Service Provider Details to check and verify the SP details. You can also edit them if needed.
  8. Click Identity Provider Details, then click Download IDP Metadata.

Configure SAML in ParkMyCloud

  1. Sign in to your ParkMyCloud admin console.
  2. Click Single Sign-On in the left menu, then select Enabled.
  3. In the SSO Login dropdown menu, you have two options:
    1. Allowed for all users allows you to configure SAML for all users in your organization.
    2. Required for all users except admins allows you to configure SAML for all users, except the super admins, in your organization.
The preferred option is Required for all users except admins. This ensures that if SAML is misconfigured, admins still have access to their accounts.
  4. In the Initial team dropdown menu, you have the option to select either None or one of the teams listed.
    1. If you select None: After the users sign in for the first time through SAML-based SSO, they will not be automatically assigned to any team in your organization. You will need to add users to teams manually.
    2. If you select a team: The users will be automatically assigned to a team after they sign in for the first time though SAML-based SSO.
The preferred option is to select a team to avoid needing to add users manually.
  5. In the IdP dropdown menu, select Custom.
  6. In the IdP configuration dropdown menu, select Upload an IdP metadata file.
  7. In IdP metadata field, click Choose File and select the metadata file you had downloaded earlier.
  8. Select Disabled next to SP Request Signing.
Note: The SP Request Signing Certificate is used to generate a signature  on a SAML request to the IdP. It is used in SP-initiated sign-ins. In this case, the SP is ParkMyCloud and the IdP is Zoho Directory.  Since Zoho Directory doesn't need an SP Request Signing Certificate to facilitate SAML-based SSO, there is no need to download the certificate from ParkMyCloud.
  9. Click Save Changes.

Just-in-time provisioning

Just-in-time (JIT) provisioning creates a ParkMyCloud account for users during their first SSO attempt, so you don't have to do it manually for each user. ParkMyCloud automatically enables JIT while configuring SAML. Once the accounts are created, users will be automatically added to the team that you selected earlier.

Test the SAML connection

  1. Return to the Zoho Directory Admin Panel.
  2. Go to Applications, then click ParkMyCloud.
  3. Click Assign Users, choose yourself from the list, then click Assign.
  4. Click on the  icon next to the app's name. If everything is working, you should be automatically signed in and taken to ParkMyCloud's homepage.

Enforce SAML SSO

After successfully testing SSO, you can enforce it for all users. Once this is done, your users will no longer be able to sign in using their ParkMyCloud credentials. To restrict users to SSO, send them the User login URL, which will be displayed to you in the ParkMyCloud admin console after you configure SSO.

When the users sign in through that link, they will be automatically redirected to sign in through Zoho Directory.
