NaijaSMSPortal for Zoho CRM
NaijaSMSPortal is an SMS provider that offers domestic (region-specific) SMS services to its users. By integrating the NaijaSMSPortal extension with Zoho CRM, you can send individual or bulk SMS messages to your leads and contacts directly from your Zoho CRM account. You can also create SMS templates in Zoho CRM that can be selected while sending SMS to users.
Note:
- User should have an active NaijaSMSPortal account. If you do not have an account, click here to create one.
- The NaijaSMSPortal is supported only for the Nigeria numbers. The Mobile field of the lead or contact cannot be empty, and you must provide numbers from the supported region.
Installing the extension
You can install the extension either from Zoho Marketplace or from within your Zoho CRM account.
To install from Zoho CRM
- Go to Setup > Marketplace > All.
All the installed extensions will be listed. Under All Extensions, you can view all the extensions supported in Zoho CRM. - Click All Extensions, browse for and click NaijaSMSPortal.
Details about the extension will be available. - Click Install.
- Agree to the terms of service and click Install.
- In the following screen, agree to the terms of service and click Continue to Install.
- In Users/Profiles, choose one of the following and click Confirm:
- Install for admin only - The extension will only be installed in CRM for users with administrator profile.
- Install for all users - The extension will be installed in CRM for all users.
- Choose profiles - The extension will be installed in CRM only for the selected users. Choose this option, click Continue, then select the profiles.
The extension will be installed automatically for the specified users.
- In the Extension Settings popup, provide the API Key and User Name to configure your NaijaSMSPortal account with the Zoho CRM.
If you click Skip in this step, you can configure later from Setup > Marketplace > All > Installed Extensions. Browse for NaijaSMSPortal extension and click Configure.
- Click Save.
- Login to your NaijaSMSPortal account.
- Under Profile, click on My Profile.
- The email displayed will be your User Name.
- Click on the Click here for your API key button.
- Under API Key, your API key will be displayed.
Sending SMS messages
Using the extension, you can send SMS messages to leads or contacts individually, or to a group of leads or contacts as bulk SMS messages.
To send individual SMS
- Choose a lead or contact from the Leads or Contacts module, respectively.
- Click the Send SMS button.
The Send SMS page will open.
- Your SMS balance will be displayed on top of the page.
- The Recipient will have the lead or contact selected.
- Select the required template from the Choose Template dropdown. If not listed, click Create New to create a new template.
All the SMS templates created in Zoho CRM will be listed here. - Select the required sender name from the Choose Sender Name dropdown. If no sender is available, click Create New Sender to create a new sender.
- Enter the Message to be sent.
- Click Send.
To send bulk SMS
- Choose the list of leads or contacts from the Leads or Contacts module, respectively.
- Click the Bulk SMS button.
The Bulk SMS page will open.
- Your SMS balance will be displayed on top of the page.
- The Recipient will have the leads or contacts selected.
- Select the required template from the Choose Template dropdown. If not listed, click Create New to create a new template.
All the SMS templates created will be listed here. - Select the required sender name from the Choose Sender Name dropdown. If no sender is available, click Create New Sender.
- Enter the Message to be sent.
- Click Send.
View NaijaSMSPortal History
The history of all the SMS messages sent to every individual lead/contact will be listed in their related list, SMS History.
To view SMS history
- Choose a record from the Leads/Contacts module.
- The details about all the SMS messages sent to the lead or contact will be listed in the SMS History related list.
Uninstalling the extension
To uninstall the extension
- Navigate to Setup > Marketplace > All.
- All the installed extensions will be listed.
- Browse for NaijaSMSPortal and click the corresponding Uninstall link.
- Click Ok to confirm and uninstall the extension.
