Migrate from Zoho ContactManager

Zoho ContactManager has information about the Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tasks which are helpful in managing your business. When you decide to move to Bigin, instead of exporting the information individually you can simply choose to Migrate the complete data from ContactManager to Bigin with a single click. 
 
Migrating from ContactManager to Bigin is possible only if you have subscribed the Bigin account with the same email address as that of the ContactManager. If an organization has multiple portals in ContactManager, the appropriate portal can be selected from which you want to migrate to Bigin. Only one portal can be selected at a time. 

Availability
Organization with the Express edition (trial version inclusive) of Bigin will be able to migrate data from Zoho ContactManager.

Note
  1. The Express edition of Bigin allows a maximum of 20 custom fields. If there are more than 20 custom fields in ContactManager, then the top 20 fields that are filled in majority will be migrated to Bigin. The remaining fields will not be migrated.
  2. The Express edition allows 20 tags per module. So, the top 20 tags that are assigned to the records in ContactManager will only be migrated. 
  3. The number of tags and custom fields that can be migrated depends on the custom fields and tags that you have in Bigin. If you have 5 Tags and 6 Custom fields already created in Bigin, then only 15 Tags and 14 Custom fields can be migrated from Zoho ContactManager.
  4. The first five web forms and the first 20 Email Templates will only be migrated. This is determined by the created date and time.
To migrate from Zoho ContactManager
  1. Go to Setup > Data Administration > Import History.
  2. Click Migrate data from Zoho ContactManager.
    Alternately, when there are no records in a module, you can click Migrate data from Zoho ContactManager.

    The Migrate Data popup will display the Zoho ContactManager portal name from which the data will be migrated.
  3. If you have multiple portals, select the portal from which you want to migrate.

  4. Click Migrate Now.

View migration details

The consolidated list of data that has been migrated can be viewed from the Import History page in your Bigin account. Details such as the number of records that are added, updated, or skipped will be displayed. The reason why records have been skipped in the migration process will be specified. You can download a copy of all those records, fix the errors and import them in the appropriate module.

To view Import history
  1. Go to Setup > Data Administration > Import History.
    In the Source column Zoho ContactManager will display the number of records that are imported and the user who initiated the migration process.
  2. Click More > Undo this import to remove all the files that were migrated from Zoho ContactManager.
