Importing KBase Articles

You can quickly import your existing list of KBase articles into Zoho Desk. Rather than type or copy-paste articles into the editor, import them from your desktop or a cloud storage service one at a time. When you import a file, the file name and its contents are copied into the article's title and answer respectively.

You can import articles from the following file formats:

To import an article from the desktop:
  1. Click the Knowledge Base (KB) module
  2. Click the Add icon  ) from the top bar.
  3. On the Add Article page, click the Desktop icon (  ) next to Import Article option.
  4. Select the file to upload from your desktop.
  5. You're done! You can see the file contents pasted into the article editor.



To import an article from cloud storage:
  1. Click the Knowledge Base (KB) module
  2. Click the Add icon  ) from the top bar.
  3. On the Add Article page, click the Cloud icon (  ) next to Import Article option.
  4. Now select the cloud service which contains your files, from the left pane.
    You will have to 
    authenticate yourself, for the cloud storage service provider, to access your files.
  5. Once authenticated, select your file that needs to be imported and click Attach.
  6. You're done! You can see the file contents pasted into the article editor.

Note:
  • You must click Publish to apply changes made to the article.
  • Before you try to re-import a file, click the Clear button in the upper-right corner to remove the existing content.
