How are records assigned to territories?
Records are assigned to the territories in two ways:- Automatically - Records that meet the rule criteria in the territory will be automatically assigned to the territory. This is applied when records are created or edited. Contacts and potentials are also assigned to the territory to which the associated account is assigned. See Also Assign Territories
- Manually - Territory managers can assign records to their territories and sub territories.
Accounts and Contacts can be assigned to a maximum of ten territories, while a deal can be assigned to only one.
