HappyFox for Zoho Directory

Prerequisites

  1. HappyFox Mighty Plan or above, with administrator privileges.

Configure SAML in Zoho One/Directory

  1. Sign in to Zoho One/Directory , then click Admin Panel in the left menu.
  2. In Zoho One, go to Marketplace and click Browse Applications. In Zoho Directory, go to Applications and click Add Application.
  3. Use the search bar to find and add HappyFox.

  4. Name your app and enter your app's Subdomain.
    Note: Your app's Subdomain is the first part of HappyFox URL. If your URL is "zylker.happyfox.com", your Subdomain will be "zylker".
  5. Click Add.
  6. Click Single Sign-On.
  7. Click Service Provider Details to check and verify the SP details. You can also edit them, if needed.
  8. Click Identity Provider Details, then copy the Issuer, the Sign-in URL, and the X.509 Certificate.

Configure SAML in HappyFox

  1. Sign in to HappyFox as an admin.
  2. Hover over Chats in the top-left corner, then click Apps.
  3. Click Single Sign-On.
  4. Choose Custom SAML.
  5. If you want to allow users to sign in with their credentials until the SSO connection is tested, ensure that Disable Standard login for agent is disabled.
  6. Enter the Sign-in URL in the SSO Target URL field, and X.509 Certificate in the IdP Signature field.
  7. Enable Authenticate helpdesk agent using SAML. Ensure that Authenticate end users using SAML is disabled.
  8. Click Save.

Just-in-time provisioning

Just-in-time (JIT) provisioning creates a HappyFox account for users during their first SSO attempt. This means you don't have to do so manually for each user.
JIT provisioning in HappyFox is enabled by default.

Test the SAML connection

  1. Return to the Admin Panel.
  2. Go to Applications, then click HappyFox.
  3. Click Assign Users, choose yourself from the list, then click Assign.
  4. Click . If everything is working, you should be automatically signed in and taken to HappyFox's homepage.

  5. After successfully testing the connection, you can start assigning the app and make it available for all users in their My Apps pages.

Enforce SAML SSO

After successfully testing SSO, you can enforce it for all users. Once this is done, your users will no longer be able to sign in using their HappyFox credentials.

To restrict users to SSO:
  1. Sign in to HappyFox as an admin.
  2. Hover over Chats in the top-left corner.
  3. Click Apps, then click Single Sign-On.
  4. Choose Custom SAML.
  5. Enable Disable Standard login for agent.
