Enroll via EMM token

You can use the EMM enrollment method to enroll devices as corporate devices. This enrollment method involves installing the ManageEngine MDM app on target devices during device boot up, then enrolling the devices using the app.

Prerequisites

  1. The device must be running with Android version 6.0 or later
  2. The device must be new or factory-reset (if used)
  3. The device must be Play Protect certified by Google

Install ManageEngine MDM app

To initiate enrollment, you have to install the ManageEngine MDM app on the devices.
You can install the app using either of the following methods:
  1. Through EMM token: This method is the standard method for installing the app and is applicable for all devices running Android versions 6.0 or later. You have to enter the EMM token and scan QR code to install the app.
  2. Through Advanced QR code: This method is applicable only for devices running Android versions 9.0 or later. In these devices, you can optionally skip entering the EMM token and install the app by only scanning QR code.
Follow the steps to install the ManageEngine MDM app on devices:

Open the EMM token enrollment page

  1. Sign in to Zoho One, then click Directory in the left menu.
  2. Go to Device Management.
  3. Go to the Enrollment tab, then click Corporate Enrollment.
  4. Select Android as the OS and EMM Token Enrollment as the Enrollment type.
  5. Click 6.0 or later for EMM token method or click 9.0 or later for Advanced QR code method.

Install app through EMM token

  1. Turn on the device, then follow the initial on-screen instructions.
  2. When prompted to sign in to your Google account, enter afw#memdm in the Email or phone field, then tap Next. This is the EMM token unique to Zoho One.
  3. When prompted to install ManageEngine MDM app, follow the instructions to install the app.
  4. Open the ManageEngine MDM app on your phone.
  5. Tap SCAN QR.
  6. When prompted, allow app to access the device camera.
  7. Scan the QR code in the EMM Token Enrollment page.

Install app through advanced QR code

  1. Turn on the device.
  2. Tap the first screen on device-startup 6 times to open the camera.
  3. Scan the QR code in the EMM Token Enrollment page.
  4. Connect to a Wi-Fi network, then follow the on-screen instructions to install the ManageEngine MDM app.

Complete enrolling devices

Enrollment will be initiated once you install the ManageEngine MDM app and you can then proceed to complete enrolling the devices. After enrolling the devices, you can assign the enrolled devices to users in Zoho One.

To complete the enrollment process:
  1. In the ManageEngine MDM app, tap CONTINUE.
  2. When prompted, allow access for the app to make changes to the device.
  3. Read the conditions, tap I consent, then tap OK.
  4. Tap FINISH to complete the enrollment process.
