Custom authentication with Azure

Custom authentication with Azure enables SAML-based single sign-on (SSO) from Azure to Zoho One. With SSO, you and your employees can sign in to Azure and access Zoho One directly, without having to sign in to Zoho One.

To set up custom authentication with Azure:
  1. Sign in to Microsoft Azure Portal as an admin.
  2. Click Azure Active Directory.
  3. Click Enterprise applications in the left navigation menu.
  4. Click New Application. 
  5. Type 'Zoho One' under the Add from the gallery tab.
  6. Select Zoho One, then click Add in the bottom-right corner.
  7. Go back to Enterprise applications, then click Zoho One.
  8. Click Single sign-on, then choose SAML.
  9. Edit Basic SAML Configuration, then do the following:
    1. Copy and enter the following details based on the Data Center (DC) your Zoho One account is present in:
      Note: Make a note of the last part of the Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) URL found in Zoho One's Custom Authentication page. This is your <ZOID>, and will be used in the Sign-on URL. For example, if your ACS URL was "https://accounts.zoho.com/signin/samlsp/71*****60", your <ZOID> would be 71*****60.

    2. Reply URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL): Enter the ACS URL found in Zoho One's Custom Authentication page.

  10. Under SAML Signing Certificate, download Certificate (Base64).
  11. Under Set up Zoho One, copy the Login URL and Logout URL.
  12. Use the details from Steps 10-11 to set up SAML in Zoho One. 
    1. Enter Login URL under Sign-in URL.
    2. Enter Logout URL under Sign-out URL.
    3. Upload Certificate (Base64) under Verification Certificate.
