Categories

Categories help you to group your products of a similar type and make them more accessible to customers.

 

In this section:

  • Add Categories

 Add Categories 

  1. Go to Categories from the left panel.
  2. Click Add Category

  1. Give your category a Title.

  2. Customize the URL, if required. Otherwise, it will be auto generated.

  3. Choose the Parent Category. Leave it at Base Category if there's no parent category.















  1. Enter a Description.

  2. Fill out the SEO Title, SEO Keywords, and SEO Description.



















  1. Turn off the Show in Store toggle to hide the category from your store.

  2. Turn off the Show in Menu toggle to hide the category from the menu.

  3. Click Upload Image to add an image.

























  1. Click the Edit or Delete icon accordingly, or click Replace Image.

  2. Click Save.















 Create Sub-Categories

To create sub-categories, select a parent category while adding your category. You can also move categories to the side to create a hierarchy of categories on the Categories home page. A maximum of three levels of categories is supported. 














  • Use the Ellipsis [] icon to drag and drop categories to where you want.

  • Use the Hide [] icon to compress sub-categories.

Edit Categories

  1. Go to Categories on the left panel.
  2. Hover over a category and click the Edit [] icon.



  1. Click Save.

Note: To add Alt text to a category image, click the Edit [ ] icon on an existing image. Click Save

before you leave the page.










Note: Private themes don't support Alt text.

Delete Categories

  • Go to Categories.
  • Hover over a category and click the Delete [] icon. 





      3. Confirm deletion from the pop-up window.
