Bisnode lets you store information about your business contacts effectively. With the Bisnode for Zoho CRM extension, you can easily move your business contacts to Zoho CRM and manage your business intelligently. The information will be synchronized weekly, insuring that the data in Zoho CRM will always be up-to-date.
Installing the extension
You can install the Bisnode extension either from Zoho Marketplace or from within your Zoho CRM account as follows:
- Go to Setup > Marketplace > All. All the installed extensions will be listed.
Click All Extensions to view the extensions supported by your CRM edition. - Under All Extensions, browse for and click Bisnode.
The details about the extension will be available. - Click Install.
- Agree to the terms of service and click Install.
- Choose one of the following, then click Confirm:
- Install for admins only - The extension will only be installed in CRM for users with the administrator profile.
- Install for all users - The extension will be installed in CRM for all users.
- Choose profiles - The extension will be installed in CRM for manually chosen users. Choose this option, click Confirm, then select the desired profiles.
The extension will be installed automatically for the specified users.
- In the pop-up, enter the App ID and App Secret.
Both App ID and App Secret can be obtained from your Bisnode account. - Click Save.
Note: If you skip this step, you can authorize it later from your Setup page in Zoho CRM. To do so, go to Setup > Marketplace > All. Find the Bisnode extension and click Configure. In Bisnode, the contacts are stored under three categories: companies, worksites, and employment. You can search for a contact in Bisnode from the Zoho CRM after selecting any of these three categories.
To search for a business contact:
- Open the Bisnode web tab.
The Bisnode Business Contact Search page appears. - In the drop-down, select companies, worksites, or employment based on your requirement.
- Enter a part of the contact name you want to search for.
A list of matching entries available in Bisnode will appear. - Place cursor on '+' symbol of the desired contact.
- A pop-up will appear with the following options:
- Add - Entries searched under companies and worksites will get added to the Accounts module, whereas under employment, it goes into the Contacts module.
- Add & Subscribe - The selected entries along with the subscribed fields will be added to either the contacts or accounts module in Zoho CRM, and will also be listed under the Bisnode Subscription web tab.
Note: Only the subscribed fields of contacts get updated while the automatic synchronization happens. All other fields will remain unchanged.
The contact details (subscribed fields) added to the Zoho CRM will be updated periodically. The contact details can also be updated manually if required as follows.
- Open Accounts or Contacts module.
- Select and open the desired contact from the list.
- Click Bisnode Search button in the top-right corner.
- In the pop-up, click the '+' symbol of the desired contact and click Yes.
- In the pop-up, select the desired fields to update and click Update.
Manage subscription
The contact along with the subscribed fields will be available as a list of entries in the Bisnode Subscription web tab. The subscribed fields cannot be altered. Instead, you can unsubscribe updates for the contact entirely. To do so:
- Open the Bisnode Subscription web tab.
- Search for the desired contact in the search bar.
- Check the desired contact.
- Click Unsubscribe.
Once unsubscribed, no fields will get updated.
Uninstalling the extension
To uninstall the extension:
- Go to Setup > Marketplace > All. All the installed extensions will be listed.
Under All Extensions, you can view all the extensions supported in your CRM. - Browse for Bisnode and click the corresponding Uninstall link.
- Click Ok to confirm and uninstall the extension.
