Arcules for Zoho Directory

Prerequisites

  1. Arcules account with IT Manager level access

Configure SAML in Zoho One/Directory

  1. If you're a Zoho One user:
    1. Sign in to Zoho One , then click Directory in the left menu.
    2. Go to Marketplace, then click Browse Applications.
    3. Use the search bar to find and install Arcules.

  2. If you're a Zoho Directory user:
    1. Sign in to Zoho Directory , then click Admin Panel in the left menu.
    2. Go to Applications, then click Add Application.
    3. Use the search bar to find and add Arcules.

  3. Name your app.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Click on the Single Sign-On tab.
  6. Click Service Provider Details to check and verify the SP details. You can also edit them, if needed.
  7. Click Identity Provider Details, then click Download IDP Metadata. A file named "Arcules.xml" will be downloaded.

Configure SAML in Arcules

Before configuring SAML SSO in Arcules, you need to add and verify your organization's domain in Arcules. This will let the users of the added domain to sign in using SAML.
To add and verify domain:
  1. Sign in to your Arcules account with IT manager-level access.
  2. Go to Settings, then click Verify Domain.
  3. Click on the plus icon in the Domain section, and enter your domain name.
  4. Click ADD, then click VERIFY and copy the TXT key.
  5. Go to your DNS settings page of your domain hosting service (Go Daddy, Google etc.) then go to DNS records page.
  6. Locate the option to add TXT record.
  7. In the Host/Alias/TXT field, enter '@' or leave it blank.
  8. In the Value/Points to/Destination field, paste the copied TXT key from Arcules.
  9. In the TTL field, set TTL to the minimum possible value recommended by your domain host.
  10. Save the changes.
After the DNS configuration is updated, your domain will be verified in Arcules. Please note that it may take up to 72 hours for your DNS configuration to update.
Once your domain is verified, you can configure SAML SSO in Arcules by doing the following:
  1. Sign in to your Arcules account with IT manager level access.
  2. Go to Settings, then click Single Sign-On.
  3. Enable SSO for your organization domain by clicking the toggle button.
  4. Upload the Arcules.xml file that you downloaded from Zoho Directory.
  5. Click SAVE.

Test the SAML connection

  1. Return to the Zoho Directory Admin Panel.
  2. Go to Applications, then click Arcules.
  3. Click Assign Users, choose yourself from the list, then click Assign.
  4. Click on the  icon next to the app's name. If everything is working, you should be automatically signed in and taken to Arcules's homepage.
