Airtable for Zoho Directory

Prerequisites

  1. An Airtable Enterprise account.

Configure SAML in Zoho One/Directory

  1. Sign in to Zoho One/Directory , then click Admin Panel in the left menu.
  2. In Zoho One, go to Marketplace and click Browse Applications. In Zoho Directory, go to Applications and click Add Application.
  3. Use the search bar to find and add Airtable.

  4. Click Add.
  5. Click Single Sign-On.
  6. Click Service Provider Details to check and verify the SP details. You can also edit them if needed.
  7. Click Identity Provider Details, then copy the Issuer, the Sign-in URL, and the X.509 Certificate.

Configure SAML in Airtable

  1. Sign in to Airtable as an admin.
  2. Click on your profile in the top-right corner, then click Admin.
  3. Click Settings in the left menu.
  4. Under SSO configuration, click add another provider.
  5. Enter the Sign-in URL in the sign-in URL field and the IdP X.509 Certificate in the x.509 certificate field.
  6. Click make SSO optional button to prevent users from being locked out of their accounts when you're testing the SAML SSO connection.
  7. Click Save.

Just-in-time provisioning

Just-in-time (JIT) provisioning creates an Airtable account for users during their first SSO attempt. This means you don't have to create an account manually for each user.
JIT is enabled in Airtable by default.

Test the SAML connection

  1. Return to the Admin Panel.
  2. Go to Applications, then click Airtable.
  3. Click Assign Users, choose yourself from the list, then click Assign.
  4. Click . If everything is working, you should be automatically signed in and taken to Airtable's homepage.

  5. After successfully testing the connection, you can start assigning the app and make it available for all users in their My Apps pages.

Enforce SAML SSO

After successfully testing SSO, you can enforce it for all users. Once this is done, your users will no longer be able to sign in using their Airtable credentials.
To enforce SSO to all users:
  1. Sign in to Airtable as an admin.
  2. Click on your profile in the top-right corner, then click Admin.
  3. On the left menu, click Settings.
  4. Click edit identity provider metadata.
  5. Click require SSO and log out all sessions in the SSO configuration section.
  6. Click Save.
